Fearsome and hulking, a Warrior’s way is found more through brute force and great resilience than guile and trickery. However, do not be fooled into thinking Warriors are brainless, or simple: though your first steps may be relatively easy to master, Warriors must fully dedicate both body and mind to fully understand the powerful skills they’ll later be taught.
Once a Warrior reaches a certain level of proficiency, they will see their path end, and split into two distinct and new routes: those of the Gladiator, and of the Templar. Only one of these can be followed, so read on, and choose wisely.
Gladiators in Aion are the true melee masters of Atreia; vicious and beastly - constantly training to perfect the various fighting styles their class excels in. Much like the Warrior class that they emerged from, a Gladiator’s power comes from sheer, brutal strength - to see one of these behemoths in combat is a truly awe-inspiring sight.
Gladiators are a vital cog in any group of Daeva, and give enemies a large and powerful target to focus their attacks on. Their presence is always felt, from my understanding most often at the end of a sharpened sword.
The Templar in Aion is a brave soul who must hold the frontline, using their shield to block and parry attacks while waiting for a weakness to show itself before retaliating. A Templar becomes more powerful when struck; indeed they can only reveal their full potential when they are in the midst of combat.
The Templar isn’t just a heavy shield and pointed sword however. Unlike their Gladiator cousins, I have seen Templars using incantations and chants to protect and heal their allies, making them a versatile yet sturdy class.
