Last week, Square Enix has launched the Final Fantasy "Go There" collaboration campaign, there has been news floating around the web that Square Enix might be planning in game collaborations between Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster – the campaign will set the stage for various collaborations to come about, a couple of which have already been revealed.
In Lightning Returns players will be able to get a Misqo’te costume for Lightning that will give her a new victory pose. Earlier reports are that she will also be able to receive Cloud’s Soldier outfit and his notable trademark victory pose.
In Final Fantasy XIV, players will be able to get the Final Fantasy XIII-themed clothing and weapons from the cast of Final Fantasy XIII. Lightning herself will also be making an appearance in Final Fantasy XIV through the FATE system, which draws together players who may normally be playing solo to complete multiplayer objective. As to why Lightning will be appearing in XIV we are told to “rest easy” by director Yoshida as far as the details are concerned. Whatever that means right?
As is mentioned that Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD is included in the marketing campaign and we can now confirm that Lightning will be getting a Yuna costume. Whether any characters from Final Fantasy X or X-2 will be making their way to Final Fantasy XIV, the possibility is likely after director Yoshida commented that he wanted players to "fantasize about the possibilities" of Final Fantasy series cameos in the game.
