Korea-based NCsoft is going to carry out the second CBT for its latest project Blade & Soul in South Korea between August 29 and September 10. So far, certain new content to be made open in the second CBT has been revealed through Blade & Soul's official site. Starting from August 19, players can access the game's official site to apply for participation in the second CBT. Interested? Then don't miss it!
Those that joined Blade & Soul's first CBT will be deemed eligible for the second CBT directly, while others can apply for participation in the test starting from August 19.
It's learnt that in the upcoming second CBT, Blade & Soul will make available substantial new content and raise its level cap to Lvl 37, in company with 5 new classes including Assassin (in addition to the original 4 basic classes). Apart from the 9 glistening classes, players will also be able to adventure around the wholly new map - "Desert", fight against each other, team up to challenge instances & high-level bosses, take advantage of such life skills as collection and crafting, and enjoy many other fresh game elements.
What's more, a poster (flash) themed on Blade & Soul's second CBT was featured on the game's official site. Its game producer James Bae resorted to an ancient and mysterious looking parchment to sincerely invite players to actively join Blade & Soul's second CBT, stating that the second CBT version would demonstrate much better quality in contrast with its first CBT version. It can be said that the poster is not only an invitation but also a brand-new milestone of Blade & Soul, and we have reason to believe that the game will be favored by an increasingly number of players.
Details about the poster are translated as follows:
Hello, I'm James Bae, the PD!
3 months have passed since Blade & Soul's first CBT ended. Upon the conclusion of the first CBT, we promised to meet you again in August. I was warned not to make such a promise since it's actually risky. But now we are very pleased to see that we keep the promise eventually.
People usually think the second CBT is more relaxing than the first one, but to tell the truth, Blade & Soul's upcoming second CBT makes me more nervous than its first CBT.The reason is that although the first CBT version has lots of shortcomings, players will forgive us since it was our first attempt after all. However, from now on, we cannot expect or require such forgiveness any more.
All Blade & Soul's developers including me have made every possible effort, but maybe, not all the content we've designed is perfect or will cater to the taste of all players.
Since this is the second CBT, players may be even more demanding than the first one. I'm fully aware that even though we have tried our best, it may not lead to the best results.
It doesn't matter, anyway. I'm convinced that all players' criticism, evaluation and encouragement will do good to Blade & Soul's future growth.
Hope you'll have fun, and look forward to receiving more suggestions from you!
See you in the Desert!
August, 2011
James Bae
