NCsoft has deployed Aion 2.7 to Korean PTS and we hereby got some information about this new patch from Aion Korean official site. As usal, there will be new instances, new items, and a lot of changes on instances, skills, quests, pets, and UI, etc.. Here we just focus on the new instances.
The first new instance is Crucible 3 (level 46 —— 55). If you are playing Aion, you will know that there is Crucible 1(Empyrean Crucible) in Aion 2.5 and Crucible 2 in Aion 2.6. Now you will have Crucible 3 in Aion 2.7. You can say NCsoft has run out of creativity on this game and they just give you another training area. But different to Crucible 1 and 2 which focus on PvE, Crucible 3 is for PvP.
Crucible 3 has two PvP modes: Free for all and 1 vs. 1. Free for all is a battle zone for up to 10 players. Both Elyos and Asmodian players will join the fight but everyone in the instance is your enemy in regardless of races. Players will be matched automatically according to their levels. 1 vs. 1 is the traditional one-on-one duel and it doesn't have race limit, too. To make the game more interesting, the developer places some cannons in the area.
Padmarashka's Lair is a raid for a maximum number of 48 players. It seems that Padmarashka's Lair in Aion 2.7 is similar to its hideout in version 2.6 but another boss Sematariux is removed. The entrance to Sematariux Lair in Aion 2.6 now leads you to Padmarashka's Lair. So where's Sematariux? According to the official introduction, due to the Daevas were gradually taking control of Inggison and Gelkmaros, Sematariux left its lair and eggs at the request of Tiamat(one of the 5 Dragon Lords). However Padmarashka doesn't want to abandon its eggs and decided to stay - that's why you may only battle Padmarashka in Aion 2.7.
