Funcom has released patch plans to Age of Conan, the company's popular fantasy MMO. While Funcom said this week's patch is a minor one, players should expect a bigger update sometime next week.
Currently, the development team is ironing out problems with memory leaks, which would cause maps to go gray, among other things. One issue that is fixed deals with players' pets not attacking. In addition, due to the recent changes to the abilities and feat trees, Funcom has adjusted the counter of how many times a character has reset his feats to zero; the player's next reset will be viewed as the first one. The company is also tweaking instance changes; the first of which adjusts the enemy encounters and dangers within the Pyramid of the Ancients. The next change deals with Toirdebach's Tomb; it will keep mob levels relatively similar to the levels of beasts found in the adjacent Fields of the Dead. In addition, melee and ranged-attacking enemies have shifted around to ensure fair play for human players. Finally, new resource nodes and many new camps have been added to the Lacheish Plains, Purple Lotus Swamp and Poitain zones to help traders find what they need.
Although no specific date is set for these next updates, Funcom will test these fixes on its Testlive server later this week. If you're interested in checking out the updates beforehand, make sure you keep yourself connected to the Testlive servers.
