Lineage 2 Freya to Live Servers on August 24

On Tuesday, August 24th, 2010, the live servers of Lineage II will welcome the latest game expansion: Freya! The new Freya client will be available for download on Monday. Log in on Tuesday to experience the exciting new content and take part in the Freya Celebration Event!

Freya Celebration Event

After a long time of icy slumber, the Ice Queen Freya has awakened and left her palace at last. While exploring her new world, she is feeling the sunlight on her face for the first time, and the summer breezes are carrying scents of flowers and warmth to her cold nose. All of this natural life and vibrance are making Freya have feelings she's never experienced before, as if her heart were becoming warm! It could be... happiness, or even, dare we say... love? Could the Queen of Ice ever experience love and happiness? It's up to you to find out! Freya is feeling particularly generous lately, and if you visit her in town she may have a present for you. Also, if you happen to find some heart-warming gifts during your adventures, you should offer them to her as presents to celebrate her arrival.

In celebration of Freya's arrival, another special person has arrived in Aden to offer gifts to adventurers. Ever since she heard that Freya would be arriving in 2010, the White Lady began crafting beautiful silver bracelets. It has taken her a long time to make enough for all of the adventurers in Aden, but she is happy to have finished just in time for Freya's arrival celebration! She says that 2010 is the year of the White Tiger. Perhaps she will stop by again in the future.

Freya Celebration Items

Vitality Maintenance Potion - 30 minutes - For 1 Adena, Freya will sell you this potion. It lasts 30 minutes, and you can only receive one per account every 20 hours.

Shiny Bracelet - For 100,000 Adena, the White Lady will sell you this bracelet, which is socketed with three Talisman slots. This is a temporary item that will last 6 months.

Heart-warming Gifts - From August 24 through September 7, all seven of these items can be found while hunting. While the icons and names are different, each item is essentially the same. If you use one of these items on a friend, you will share a fun animation. If you use of these items on the Freya NPC in town, she will reward you with another gift. These are the seven heart-warming gifts that you can find:

Upon turning in the above gifts to Freya, she might reward you with:

Freya's Gift - Gift box containing Freya's heart. Upon opening this gift box, you will randomly receive one of 8 items:
- Blessed Necklace of Freya
- Giant's Codex
- Giant's Codex - Mastery
- Transformation Scroll - Anakim
- Transformation Scroll - Zaken
- Noble Enhancement Stone
- Greater Quick Healing Potion
- Gemstone S

The event will begin with maintenance on Tuesday, August 24. The event items will cease to drop with the maintenance on Tuesday, September 7. All event NPCs will remain in the game for an additional week, until September 14, 2010.
