Aion 2.0 was officially applied to the Korean servers on May 26th. 19 hours after its release, the Assassin player whose character name is Love hit level 55 and she became the first Aion player who hit level 55 in the world. Below are the briefs of an interview with her.
Spent 19 hours to jump to level 55 from 50
Congratulations, you are the first Aion player who hit level 55.
Love: Thanks. It was at 7:00am when I hit level 55.
Did you make preparations for fast leveling before the debut of Aion 2.0?
Love: While attempting to hit level 55, I used various potions, curse tomes and something else constantly. I used all of my helpful items to help grinding, such as the food that can increase movement speed by 5%, the food that can increase attack speed by 2%, and so on.
Would you mind talking about your fast leveling tips?
Love: Before updating Aion 2.0, I fully stored the restorable experience and kept 30 completed quests. After update, I first bought a pet and then turned in the 30 completed quests. From the completed quests and the restorable experience, I gained approximately 100 million experience. Besides, I did the newly introduced quests to earn experience. Also, when I was about to hit the level cap, I exchanged dragon hearts to gain tons of experience.
Many players have said that lots of experience can be gained through exchanging dragon hearts. In a period during version 1.9, the price of dragon hearts fell sharply. In that period, the price of each dragon heart dropped to 10K Kina from 50-100 million Kina. I then seized the opportunity and bought about 10K dragon hearts.
It cost me about 100 million Kina to buy those dragon hearts, but I earned about 40 million Kina back after exchanging the dragon hearts. It means I only spent 50-60 million Kina to get the experience.
It needs approximately 880 million experience to jump to level 55 from level 51. I almost got 400 million experience through exchanging dragon hearts.
Every time when there was about 20% more experience required to hit a new level, I exchanged dragon hearts to get the required experience. I was once killed by the Elyos when exchanging dragon hearts. I am not sure whether it is because I was a General.
Where did you grind?
Love: Because I prefer solo play, I mainly fought against common monsters one by one.
From level 51 to 52, I mainly killed the treants and did repeatable quests in Ancient Woodelf Forest. From level 53 to 55, I mainly did common quests near Malayath.
After completing all the quests that can be repeated 20 times, I got the unique Gakmalos armor. As for the quests that can be repeated 40 times, I also repeated them 20 times.
I once entered level 54-55 zones, but I had to stop to restore health and mana frequently because the monsters there are rather tough. In fact, we can get far more experience from common monsters and repeatable quests than I've imagined. That's why I reached level 55 so fast.
Did you get some awesome stuffs since you've spent so much time in grinding?
Love: The best drop for me is Ambush VI stigma stone. Maybe I was not so lucky, almost all my equipped items were not dropped by monsters except the Lakhane's Kerchief.
Weapons: +10 Lanmark Dagger, +10 Guardian Chiliarch's Sword
Armor: +15 Elit Guardian Centurion
Accessories: Lakhane's Kerchief, Guardian Tribunus's ruby necklace, earrings, ring, belt and Guardian Tribunus's garnet ring.
How will you enjoy Aion later on since you've hit its current level cap?
Love: I don't know actually. I know 2.0 has introduced many new instanced zones and much other new content, but I don't find any innovative content from them. I am not so interested in exploring instanced zones together with others. I once joined a somewhat stable team to explore Tahabata. However, we could not often stick together to run instances because of our different work and rest schedules. So I left the team soon and I even left my former guild. I am now enjoying the game as a single.
I like the flexible content that has no time limit. So I like gathering materials and making items. As for Aion, the portion that amuses me the most is neither running instances nor grouping, but other features.
